3. THE GUIDE LIMITS of LIABILITY.

a. THE GUIDE- consisting of limited staff, management, or affiliated volunteers, assumes no liability for any inconvenience, mishap, loss, ill-intent, or injury resulting from the use of this website and related services.

b. THE GUIDE offers these -largely volunteer- services presented within this website as a public offering of Good Will, in the spirit of improved Community and benefit to all involved, but in doing so does not endorse, condone, or encourage the behaviours of any particular User of this website or related services- except in the case of behaviours in accordance with explicit instruction, if any, given in the website, and which are performed in the earnest intention to produce hoped-for result(s) for the engaging parties.

c. THE GUIDE assumes or expects that all persons utilizing this website and related services, do so in a responsible, non-abusive manner, that these persons act without any conceived intentions to bring harm or harrassment to any other person or property.
As all humans live in this Free-Will Zone called Planet Earth, it is also known that morally-preferred, intelligent, or mutually beneficial behaviours are not always what results when humans engage or interact with one another.
In light of this, THE GUIDE does not presume to predict, understand, or control the behaviours of any one person or groups of persons- and does not here engage in a philosophical debate as to the correctness of this- rather,

THE GUIDE does implore all Users of this website and related services to assume responsibility for their own actions, to engage these services in an intelligent, mutually-beneficial manner, and to also be responsible for their own protection when engaging with other Users.

4. THE GUIDE POLICY IN REGARDS TO OPERATING EXPENSES & DONATIONS

a. DONATIONS towards THE GUIDE operating expenses are WELCOMED HEARTILY!

THE GUIDE is a launching within an intense Love for- and an equally intense desire to therefore maintain- a culture and region which weaves a rarely encountered Sensibility, Art and Intelligence into the engagement of simpl daily living- while grounded in necessity-based enforcement- and graced by the magnificent grandeur that is Himalaya.

However, one cannot continue on blind Love alone- intense or otherwise- without the earthly realities of physical stamina, finite time, resource-erosion and paying bills also finding a balance.

b. Donations are used towards: website costs (domain(s), IT & maintenance, webhosting), and admin and office expenses, if/when applicable.

c. All efforts to operate in a cost-conscious, sensible and self-reliant manner are a continuous concern for THE GUIDE.
Therefore a continual effort to engage local community players in a participatory dialogue- to encourage their inclusion to and collaboration with THE GUIDE and other similar efforts- is critical for this beloved community's continuance as it is now known.

Historically we observe that most independently-funded causes intended to "save" something are met with apathy, and instantly assume worn-weary pathways to obscurity and failure- this in spite of the potential benefits to the apathetic. One of the many-splendoured ways in which Humans are Strange...

5. COMMUNITY REQUIRES PATIENCE & UNDERSTANDING, GOOD INFORMATION, and COOPERATION. THE GUIDE EXISTS TO FOSTER THESE PRINCIPLES.

a. The policies as stated above are in order to validate and support THE GUIDE website functions and services, and inform all staff and participants of THE GUIDE as to their potential role in this-

b. THE GUIDE understands that by providing our offerings and services to the community at large, we correspondingly create an ethical responsibility towards that same community-
to provide maximum value and security for all website participants as best we are able, and to create the most beneficial and useful website experience possible.

c. THE GUIDE management requests the cooperation and understanding of all Volunteers, Concerned Patrons and Users of ladakh.GUIDE, in hopes that:

- each participant can be made aware or be offered a fresh perspective as to what unique cultural and business dynamics exist in this local community.

Only THEN is it possible for choices and preferences to change, to nurture the resulting intelligence-based economies. MicroEvolution happens, and is not rocket science...

- awareness that without a side-by-side, comparative exposure of the available offerings of Ladakh, both Providers and Consumers can miss out on what may be truly desired-

THE GUIDE therefore provides an expanded outreach for Ladakhi locals and outside visitors to find each other, as currently there exists meager opportunity for this. ~
